Anna University November December 2021 Examination to be conducted in Physical mode

Anna University has planned to conduct End Semester Examination in physical mode. In recent notification released by Anna University, it has been notified that Nov/Dec 2021 Examination both Theory and Practical examinations will be conducted in physical mode.

Based on deliberations made the following decisions were taken as ONE TIME MEASURE due to COVID 19 pandemic during the academic session September 2021 - December 2021.

Non-Autonomous Colleges Affiliated to Anna University

All the internal assessment and End Semester Examinations of Theory Examination including Elective courses, Laboratory Courses, Theory cum Laboratory courses for B.E/B.Tech (full time/ part time) and PG (full time/ part time) and Theory, Theory cum studio and studio courses for B.Arch and M.Arch /M.Plan. for the students of academic session September - December 2021 UG (full time/ Part time) / PG (full time / part time) programmes of affiliated institutions under Regulation 2013, Regulation 2015, Regulation 2014 and Regulation 2017, shall be as per the respective regulations and in PHYSICAL mode.

Distance Education:

End Semester Examination will be conducted for all semesters under distance education programmes MBA, MCA and M.Sc belonging to Regulation 2009, Regulation 2013, and Regulation 2018, during the academic session September - December 2021, shall be as per respective regulations and in PHYSICAL mode.

Attendance requirements for the courses in Non-Autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University

For all students of Non-Autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University the attendance requirements for September - December 2021, academic session is as per regulation.

Education Tour and study trip for Architecture students

The students of B.Arch regulation 2017 of affiliated institutions should have undergone education and study trip/tour. In view of the COVID 19 Pandemic, the mandatory education and study trip/tour in the various regulation of UG and PG of Non-Autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University is not possible and hence alternatives have to be made with due deliberations, the following decisions have been taken as a ONE TIME MEASURE during this COVID pandemic and also keeping in mind the safety of the students.

• AR8812 Educational tour of B.Arch regulation 2017 is a prerequisite to be completed for getting degree and it is a 1 credit course evaluated only through internal assessment in the semester VIII. The tour is to be undertaken in the vacation period of semester VI-VII or vacation period of semester VII-VIII. The educational tour can be suspended for the semester VIII batch of Jan-May 2022. As alternative each student can submit an independent study report of places of architectural interest from secondary sources for evaluation.
• Any Students of Batches before COVID pandemic under regulation 2013 who were unable to undertake education tour due to valid reason and unable to undertake educational tour last year and this year due to suspension of the same can also follow this alternative.

In addition to all the above, any field/ study visits required as part of the regulations, curriculum and syllabi for various courses and programmes under the faculty of architecture and planning can be replaced by study through secondary source of information, if visits are not possible.

This decision is taken with the approval of the competent authority.
